Toddler Visit (August 2025)
Creating meaningful connections between generations has brough happiness and enjoyment to our residents at Langham Manor recently. The recent visit from a local toddler’s group, highlights the power and meaning that these visits and interactions with toddlers can have on the residents.
The visit from the toddler’s group was an uplifting event for all the residents, filling the home with lots of laughs and playful energy. The children, filled with curiosity lit up the resident’s day making them remember many happy memories with their families and grandkids.
The interaction between our residents and the toddlers created a memory that will be remembered by all. The residents were delighted to meet the toddler’s and play fun games and interactive activities.
The toddlers got to experience first hand the importance of kindness and sharing with others, while getting cuddles and playing fun games with an older generation.
The residents in our care home were delighted to play games with the children, laugh and have great fun interacting with a younger generation. This visit allowed the residents to break their daily routine and give them a joyful experience which has many benefits towards their mental health. Getting to play with the young children will uplift the resident’s mood and the happy environment will help to increase their overall well-being.
This visit is a testimony to the impact that the local community can have on the residents and the importance meaningful activities have in uplifting the general mood of the home.

Yes, that’s right, we were incredibly lucky to be invited to try out the new studio for reformer Pilates this week♥️
We all loved it, residents and staff alike!
Even a 96-year-old, Joan, and 97-year-old, Thelma are giving it a go🤩

Fiddler on the Roof by Stowmarket Operatic and Dramatic Society at the Regal 🎭
Anne saw lots of her friends as she was part of SODS for many years, from directing to performing, her children were also part of SODS♥️
Our other lovely Anne wasn’t able to come with us, but her son Andrew was up on the stage, and we loved watching him perform!

Seniors dream day at Portman road Ipswich town football club made for a very happy Thelma⚽
Thelma's husband used to work on the turnstiles and Thelma’s family are massive Ipswich supporters so it was only right for her to attend such a memorable day🥰
Meeting players Matt Holland and Roger Osborne, a tour of the changing rooms and going pitch side is definitely a forever memory!
When we walked into the changing room they had made each person a shirt with their names on the back hanging up💙
It was a brilliant day for everyone and Thelma has gone home over the moon and telling everyone at supper about it ⚽️🥰
