A lovely afternoon at the “5 Miles From Anywhere – No Hurry Inn” pub in Upware🍻🌿
We enjoyed a lovely cold drink and some tasty pub snacks in the shade, while watching the boats gently make their way along the river🚤
There were plenty of people out enjoying a paddle too, and we had a lovely chat with some of them!
We also met the gorgeous Bramble🐾, who has just qualified as a therapy dog for children! Bramble and her owner are on holiday in the local area, so it was a real pleasure to meet them both🥰
Everyone enjoyed reminiscing about the family dogs they’d had over the years, sharing lots of lovely memories and stories, and tender moments❤️🐶
A relaxing afternoon, good company, and plenty of happy memories - just what we needed! ☀️

What a swishy, swooshy time we had! ✨🧣
We all a-swish and a-swoosh as we got stuck into some fantastic scarf dancing! It was a wonderful way to keep those arms moving, fit and strong, while singing, swaying and enjoying some great tunes🎶💃

Food, Fun & Friendly Competition🌯
We love trying different types of food, but it’s even more enjoyable when they have a hand in creating it! Recently, some of us got creative in the kitchen and crafted our own delicious wraps, at the same time honing their fine motor skills🌯😋
Once the wraps were ready, it was time to enjoy them over a friendly game of dominoes – the perfect combination of good food, great company and a little healthy competition😊

At Townsend Manor, we’re always looking for fun and creative ways to help everyone stay healthy and hydrated, especially during the recent heatwave☀️💦
Recently, we had heaps of fun creating colourful fruit kebabs, with each one reflecting the tastes and personalities of its creator! 🍓🍌🍇 From choosing their favourite fruits to putting their own combinations together, everyone enjoyed getting involved.
And, of course, the best part was getting to eat our creations afterwards😋 There was more than enough to go around, and our staff were absolutely delighted when residents kindly offered them some of their delicious kebabs too❤️
A little creativity, a lot of fruit, plenty of hydration and lots of smiles - the perfect recipe for a happy afternoon🍉😊

What a resounding success our recent Summer Fayre was ☀️🏖️🎉
With bright, sunny weather setting the perfect scene, our Summer Beach Party went down a treat with residents and visitors alike!
Our talented chefs served up a delicious BBQ, while our fantastic Activities Team went the extra mile with wonderful decorations, games and plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy🍔
And, of course, the brilliant Strumsters provided the soundtrack to the afternoon, with everyone singing, humming, swaying or toe-tapping along!🎶
There were smiles all around, lots of laughter and, most importantly, everyone had a marvellous time💛
