It’s a wonderful opportunity to socialise, laugh, exercise the brain and enjoy each other’s company - one piece at a time😆

Our doors are always open to the friends and families of our residents, and this weekend we had a wonderful reason to celebrate🥂
We joined one of our lovely residents and her family to celebrate the recent wedding of her granddaughter🥰
And what’s a celebration without some fabulous food?! Our Head Chef, Greg, pulled out all the stops with a delicious spread, topped off with a beautiful wedding cake, and of course, there were a few bubbles to wash it all down💍

What better way to celebrate National Cinema Weekend than with a good old-fashioned movie afternoon?!
In honour of the sad passing of the legendary Dolly Parton, we decided there was only one thing for it… a Dolly movie marathon♥️
From 9 to 5 to The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, we settled in for an afternoon full of classic films, plenty of snacks, sweet treats and, of course, a good old singalong to some of Dolly’s best-known songs🎶
There were smiles, laughter, tasty treats and perhaps a few impressive vocal performances along the way!
It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the life and music of a true legend🥰

Experiment No. 1 – The Skittles Rainbow. We arranged our Skittles around a plate, added some water and waited… and...😱
Experiment No. 2 – Oobleck! Using cornflour and water, we created Oobleck, a fascinating non-Newtonian liquid🥳
Experiment No. 3 – Walking Water. Finally, we discovered how water can travel from one jar to another using nothing more than kitchen roll!
It was wonderful seeing everyone getting involved, trying the experiments and learning something new - while also bringing back memories of their own school days♥️

THE GARDENING CLUB IS BACK AT IT🌱
With the weather starting to change, our Gardening Club decided it was the perfect time to roll up our sleeves and give our garden a little TLC🌷
There was plenty to do: sweeping, tidying and getting our garden furniture looking lovely and ready for those cosy autumn days!
We decided it was finally time to create our very own little herb garden! Our herbs will be perfect for our Cooking Club, giving us fresh ingredients we can use in the kitchen to add a little extra flavour to our delicious meals😋
We take such pride in caring for the garden, and it’s wonderful to see everyone getting involved and helping to create a beautiful, welcoming sensory space where we can sit, relax and enjoy a cuppa together☕

ALPACA ADVENTURES CAME TO VISIT🦙
We were alpaca-lutely thrilled to welcome Wendy from Alpaca Adventures to our home, along with two very special guests… the lovely Liquorice & Caramac🥰
We absolutely loved meeting these two gentle souls and having them visit right here in the home. There were plenty of smiles, cuddles and wonderful memories made!
Liquorice and Caramac were so calm and well-behaved, making them the perfect visitors. They even enjoyed meeting some of our residents’ visiting family and friends, who couldn’t resist stopping for a cuddle♥️
It was such a special day and one we’ll certainly be talking about for a long time to come😆
A huge thank you to Alpaca Adventures for bringing Liquorice & Caramac along and helping us create such a perfect and memorable experience✨
