Movie Night (August 2025)
Our recent activity included a trip to Hollywood for movie night! Our residents got comfy and settled down to embark on their next cinematic adventure. Our cinema nights are a hit with everyone, offering a range of movie to suit everyone. From old time classics to action packed stories and every funny, surprising, and emotional movie in between, movie night really is a treat.
Movie nights are an amazing atmosphere within the home, transporting the residents to different worlds. From the golden age of Hollywood to contemporary blockbusters there is certainly something for everyone.
Classic films are a real favourite and hold a special place in our hearts. The sense of nostalgia and timeless entertainment they bring are comforting to our residents in making them relive special moment within their life.
No movie night is complete without popcorn, and ours is no different…although it does mysteriously disappear. Even on special occasions, we throw in unexpected twists like trivia games and themed snacks. Whether it’s the sound of laughter, debates over who the villain is or gasping at thriller scenes, the screen brings everyone together and unites residents and strengthens their friendships with one another.
At Hatfield Manor, movie night isn’t just watching a film- it’s the shared stories, laughter, and joy it brings to everyone. Although we may not be in Hollywood, it certainly feels like we are on the red carpet with the five-star company we have.

This week we invited Greenacres Care Home to Hatfield Manor for a lovely coffee morning☕
We also had the pleasure of having 'the inclusion project' who came along to help us make the day a great experience for everyone♥️
They came along and helped us make and serve drinks and clean up, so it was a day of learning new skills and getting some experience 😀
A wonderful day was had by all!

This week we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, and what a lovely start to the day we had!
Our morning began with a wonderful performance from the Welhat Ukes Group, who came in to play for us🥰
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the music, singing along, clapping, and soaking up the festive atmosphere. It was the perfect way to begin our St. Patrick’s Day celebrations😆
