It was a busy cinema for ‘Movie and Munchies Monday,’ at our viewing of The Wizard of Oz💚

We had a pamper session this afternoon with everyone enjoying a variety of therapies🫧
With foot spas, facials, face masks, hand massages, nail shaping and colour changes, we relaxed whilst listening to music... some even went for a sofa power nap😴

This week we had a special treat of ’Coorie Doon and Sing,’ inter-partnership work with Inspiring Communities Stirling and St Modan’s High School🥰
A wonderful afternoon of intergenerational work was had using ‘playlist for life,’ which saw some S6 students from St.Modan’s school work with six of our residents to begin to create their personal playlists🎶
This first session involved the students talking to and playing songs from over the years, working with James and Marie to collate a series of songs!

After a couple of trips to Morrisons shopping, Margueritte thought she would “quite like to get to a M&S and Boots, for some toiletries…”🛍️
“I mean, I have a bus pass, we could take the bus,” Margueritte said♥️
We decided to go on ‘main prop day,’(what her has and John called Wednesday)!
“This is surreal, I mean, this is normality… My daughter will never believe I’ve been to M&S,” Margueritte said🥰
Several purchases were made of toiletries, new cardigans, and sweet treats; however, the favourite purchase of the day had to be a hot water bottle, Spencer🧸
”I had to have him, he’s a darling- and he’ll sit on my bed with the dog- he’ll have a friend now. He will remind me of a lovely day.”🥹

Roy spoke with the activity staff about his days of playing golf at Schawpark Golf Club. He said he then went down the street to The Mansfield, where he enjoyed drinks with friends🍺
We took a trip down memory lane with Roy, accompanied by friends Maurice & Iain, and enjoyed an amazing lunch & beverages at The Mansfield!
Before we went home, Roy went into the bar area where he once enjoyed socialising over some drinks after a hard day of golfing⛳
He was smiling from ear to ear as he said, "This takes me back". A beautiful afternoon with amazing company🥰
The Mansfield food is highly recommended, and we thank the staff for their amazing service that afternoon and for making this memorable trip special for Roy, Maurice & Iain♥️
